International Citizens Days

International Citizens Days

102 times THANK YOU! ❤️

The International Citizens Days were amazing. And after that, we broke through the 100-member mark: we are now 102 members. It's a great result that will soon lead to even bigger ones.

Every person we talked to confirmed to us the need to remove the barriers Internationals are facing in Denmark. We can do it together, Danes and Internationals, to ensure no one is left behind.

Immigration and emigration

Denmark’s workforce needs international talent—but why are so many leaving?

Despite Denmark’s reputation for quality of life and 'hygge,' international workers are increasingly leaving. Last year alone, over 50,000 foreign citizens left Denmark, and while immigration numbers were higher at 79,561, the country's labour market still faces a major challenge.

Only 35% of internationals remain in Denmark after five years. For a country actively recruiting skilled talent, this is a concerning trend. By 2033, Denmark will need an additional 130,000 workers to meet its economic demands. Yet, without creating a more inclusive and adaptable environment for its international workforce, Denmark risks losing out to other nations that are more successful in retaining global talent.

Denmark has so much to offer—let's make sure internationals feel a part of it.

Giving a Voice to Denmark's Growing International Community

📈 Non-Danish people are a growing part of the population residing in Denmark. Inde's mission is to give them a voice. We believe that only in this way will they be able to thrive, fully contributing to the life of the beautiful country they love to live in.

📍 On September 27 and 28, Inde will be at the International Citizen Days in København, where we will also host a workshop. We would love to meet you there!

In the meantime, if you'd like, please help support our mission by sharing this post or inviting your connections to follow us!
